| Robert Kraybill has joined AT Capital as a Senior Advisor. Rob
has had a long and distinguished career in M&A and Private Equity
and will add significant expertise to both our Corporate Advisory and
Private Equity activities. Robert is based in Singapore, was Managing
Director and Head of Asian Private Equity and Private Finance for
Marathon Asset Management LLC, a global alternative investment manager
with US$12 billion in capital under management. Prior to joining
Marathon, he was Managing Director and Regional Head of Corporate
Finance & Origination, Asia ex-Japan, for Dresdner Kleinwort
Wasserstein (DrKW), a global investment banking firm whose Asian
business focused on mergers and acquisitions and acquisition financing.
Prior to relocating to Asia, Robert was a Managing Director in DrKW’s
TMT sector team in New York. While with DrKW and its predecessor
Wasserstein Perella, he advised on private equity raises, acquisitions,
restructurings and acquisition financings in the media and telecom
industries as well as in a variety of other industries including
business services, financial services, utilities, and consumer
products. Early in his career, Robert was a financial analyst in the
M&A group at Morgan Stanley and a derivative products marketer at
Credit Suisse Financial Products. Robert received his B.A. from
Princeton University, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, summa cum laude. Robert served on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of The Executive Centre Limited and its affiliated companies.
Nasim Ali joined AT Capital as a Senior Advisor. He was the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, a $2 billion financial services company, headquartered in New York City. The first Bangladeshi "ACTUARY" in North America rose to the pinnacle of his profession in the Insurance industry, using his strong background in finance and economics as an actuary, and his leadership skills in marketing and management. Achieving the top marketing position in a $2 billion company is rare for a first generation immigrant. Mr. Ali is considered a leader in the insurance industry, where he pioneered the development of a non-traditional distribution system for the financial services industry agents. He has earned the professional designation of an Actuary from the American Academy of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
Masud Khan is an international corporate attorney. His experience spans 15 years in corporate and international law and business. He was a partner in a large US Mid-Western law firm (Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c.), where he structured and closed hundreds of US and cross-border M&A transactions. Masud has acted as counsel for various Fortune 500 companies and worked with US lenders in managing capital for his clients. He has also worked with private equity, leveraged buy-out, venture capital and mezzanine capital funds for acquisition and start-up capital. He has structured sales and distribution channels in Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe for his US clients and represented international clients in deals involving US assets. Masud focuses his practice on M&A including cross-border transactions, general US corporate law, business negotiations, US export and import laws, international trade and distribution and agency law. Masud is a shareholder in and past general counsel of Alliance Federated Energy, LLC, a US company which has entered into an alliance with the Lineng Group in the Shandong Province, China to build a 1600 MW power plant in such province. He has written various articles and spoken at various seminars on international transactions. He is a past-director of the Milwaukee World Trade Association, the international arm of the Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, International and Business Practice Sections. He has co-authored the International transactions chapter of the State Bar of Wisconsin Business Advisor publication “Commercial and Consumer Transactions.
Iqbal Hussain was Senior Medical Director of Astellas Pharma US, following the merger of Yamanouchi and Fujisawa, where he led the Urology Franchise responsible for Urology business development, discovery, research, development, regulatory affairs and medical affairs. He was responsible for Flomax (global sales over $1bn) and VESIcare (approved in 2005 and a competitor product to Detrol). VESIcare exceeded all sales expectation and became a major product in the Astellas global franchise. Iqbal was responsible for developing and implementing new processes in the newly formed organization that allowed greater cooperation and collaboration of the US, EU and global businesses in Urology. He has held various positions including Worldwide Medical Director at Pfizer, in 2003, following its merger with Pharmacia . He chaired the Medical Subcommittee and was responsible for a medical budget of $12m to support the medical marketing activities that took the Detrol brand to $1bn in sales. Iqbal is widely published with over 60 abstracts and book chapters together with numerous invited speaking engagements globally. His collaborative work with numerous pharmaceutical companies led to an invitation to join Pharmacia in the UK. Iqbal obtained his medical degree from St Thomas's Hospital Medical School in London and obtained his FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England) in 1995. He trained as an academic urologist at the Institute of Urology, London and obtained subspecialty training as a Uro-Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
